London's Legally Blonde Extends Into 2011

The London production of Legally Blonde The Musical, at the Savoy Theatre, has announced an extension, with tickets now being sold through February 20, 2011.

Legally Blonde, which premiered on Broadway in April 2007, is based on the 2001 Hollywood comedy about sorority girl Elle Woods who follows her ex-boyfriend Warner to Harvard Law School in an attempt to win him back. The show has a book by Heather Hach and music and lyrics by husband-and-wife team Nell Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe. Jerry Mitchell has directed and choreographed.

The cast is led by Sheridan Smith as Elle, and also stars Duncan James as Warner Huntington III, Jill Halfpenny as Paulette, Peter Davison as Professor Callahan, and Alex Gaumond as Emmett.

They are joined by Emma Bateman (Stenographer), Dan Burton (Padamadan, Nikos), Darren Carnall (Kiki), Chris Ellis-Stanton (Grandmaster Chad, Dewey, Kyle), Nadine Higgin (Judge, Saleswoman), Ibinabo Jack (Pilar), Caroline Keiff (Vivienne Kensington), Amy Lennox (Margot), Suzie McAdam (Enid), Andy Mace (Dad, Winthrop, Reporter), Susan McFadden (Serena), Matthew McKenna (Aaron), Sorelle Marsh (Courtney, Mom, Whitney), Aoife Mulholland (Brooke), Sean Mulligan (Pforzheimer), Roxanne Palmer (Kate, Chutney), Sergio Priftis (Carlos), Tamara Wall (District Attorney) and Ed White (Lowell), as well as Fabian Aloise, Francis Haugen, Jane McMurtrie, Sherrie Pennington and Lucy Miller as swings.

The creative team includes David Rockwell (sets), Gregg Barnes (costumes), Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller (lighting), ACME Sound Partners (sound), and Christopher Jahnke (orchestrations).

Duncan wrote on his twitter page that I´ll be contracted to legally blonde until 7th june 2010.

So hopefully Blue will touring end of this year!
