Blue's Simon Webber joins Sister Act

Blue singer Simon Webbe is to join the cast of West End musical Sister Act from the end of next month.

Webbe, who will be making his West End debut as Curtis Shank in the musical, will perform in the show from May 31.

It has also been announced that Sheila Hancock, currently one of the judges on BBC talent contest Over The Rainbow, has extended her contract until the end of August. She plays Mother Superior.

Other new cast members performing from May 31 are Jacqueline Clarke as Sister Mary Lazarus and ensemble members Lauren Appleby, Kiara Jay, Rachel John, Aaron Lambert, Ellie Leah, Amanda Minihan, Grant Murphy, Nathaniel Morrison, Ashley Russell and Carrie Sutton.
